Kim Marcus

Vice President & Corporate Controller

As Vice President and Corporate Controller for Bright Now! Dental, Kim leads and manages all of the company's accounting activities, including corporate accounting, operations accounting, accounts payable, financial reporting, and tax compliance (property, sales, use and excise taxes). Kim also plays an instrumental role in refining the company's accounting processes, policies, procedures, and internal control structure in addition to providing guidance and advice on company accounting and financial matters.

Before joining Bright Now! Dental in 2007, Kim spent seven years at Freedom Orange County Information, parent company of The Orange County Register, as Controller and most recently as Director of Business Analysis. In those roles, she participated in setting strategic direction for the accounting and finance functions while also establishing process improvements that delivered maximized cash flow, enhanced efficiency and increased EBITDA. In addition, Kim guided her teams through a variety of changes including, mergers, buyouts, and large-scale restructurings. Earlier in her career, Kim served in a variety of finance and accounting roles of increasing responsibilities with companies such as AT&T Wireless Services, Apria Healthcare, and the consulting firm of KPMG, where she was a manager in the Tax Department.

Kim earned her bachelor of science degree in Accounting from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. In addition to her career, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, and spending as much time as possible outdoors, hiking and mountain biking. She loves sports of all kinds.
