Teeth Cleaning
A clean, healthy mouth starts with clean, healthy teeth. Regular cleanings help remove plaque and tartar build-up and prevent you from getting periodontal diseases. Keep your mouth healthy and your teeth white by having regular cleanings which include the removal of plaque and calculus (tartar) from teeth, generally above the gum line.
One of the most important ways to help a dentist is to keep the mouth, gum, and teeth areas as clean as possible. Brushing, flossing, rinsing, and having regularly scheduled teeth cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist can do this very well. These are typically twice yearly, but can be scheduled more or less often depending upon what your dentist recommends on an individual basis.
Teeth-cleaning by a hygienist or dentist is the most important ways to have a healthy mouth and gums, and can help prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and tooth loss. To keep the healthy smile that was so hard to get, cleaning teeth regularly is the best and simplest option. Although many Americans have their teeth cleaned at least once per year (68%), many more should be doing this yearly or semi-annually. Teeth-cleaning is recommended by top experts such as the ADA. Regardless of whether dental insurance exists, every adult should go, in order to prevent gum disease which has been linked to the risk of of heart disease, osteoporosis, and respiratory disease, to name a few. Brush regularly, floss and rinse, and be sure to visit a licensed dentist or dental hygienist twice a year. Teeth-cleaning is vital, so do not skip it!
