This Valentine’s Day – Giving the Gift of Flowers

This Valentine’s Day, we challenge you to think outside the (candy) box and consider gifts for your sweetheart that are just as heart-felt, but don’t require brushing and flossing after.
For this reason, we love flowers. During winter months, a bouquet of blooms in any room is a smile-inducing, mood-booster. Roses are a popular choice on Valentine’s Day and one of the most enduring symbols of love and appreciation. Did you know that different colored roses have different meaning? The color of a rose communicates a lot about the relationship between the giver and the receiver. There’s a whole language of flowers that you can use to express your feelings this Valentine’s Day.
We found this Reader’s Digest article on the meaning behind the different colors of roses:
-Red – true love and romance
-Burgundy – beauty and adoration
-Yellow – friendship and joy
-Lavender – love at first sight
-Light Pink – gentleness and admiration
-White – purity, innocence and spirituality
-Orange – desire, passion and excitement
-Cream – charm and thoughtfulness
We’re big fans of a candy-free holiday, but we understand that sweets may be part of your celebration. Getting back on track with your regular oral health routine is a good idea after the holiday. This includes meals and snacks made from nutritious foods, brushing at least twice a day, flossing daily, and making time in your schedule for regular visits to your dentist.
Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Bright Now! Dental.
