Bright Now Dental is the first dentist office who ever truly saw me as a human, not just my autism. I can’t explain how much that means.

They gave me my first real “normal” experience with tooth removal — awake, alert, and cared for. Most people might prefer to be knocked out, but for me, finally being able to go through it like everyone else was amazing. The second previous dentists heard “autism” and “dental anxiety” it was either “we won’t see you because we don’t do unconscious tooth treatments” or “okay, take these meds and we’ll knock you out and do your dental work!” “Normal” people don’t have to be knocked out for a tooth extraction or, especially, a simple cleaning. I waited over a year to find a dentist in network that would even see me with my autism.. To go to the dentist and them not instantly try to make me unconscious was amazing.. It felt like I was included in something I had been left out of my whole life.

The dentist was so kind and patient, as was his assistant. They never dismissed me, never made me feel difficult — they just treated me with respect and understanding. Even knowing my challenges, they still saw me, and that’s rare.

This was honestly the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I’m so grateful to them.
