I would give ten stars. The customer service is stellar, I feel like I’m cared about as a person not just like a patient, and I look forward to seeing everyone on my next visit. I have been a pt for almost a decade and I’m not changing a thing. :-)

I needed gum grafts and my dentist recommended that I find a periodontist to do the work. I made a lot of calls to track down a practice that would accept Medicaid (see note below). I have a life-long complication where I don't go numb in the top of my mouth and need sedation dentistry, especially for a procedure like this. In addition I have a rare edema diagnosis that is exacerbated by anxiety and dental procedures. I give all this background to demonstrate that I'm a complex patient due to these factors. I found Dr. Alex Podaru in my search, and the Tower Road location could accomodate my need for sedation. Lisa was an absolute godsend, as there was a lot of logistics to navigate between my referral, records, medical clearance, and insurance questions. She was incredibly patient and supportive. I was extremely stressed out at my evaluation (severe dental anxiety due to past negative experiences) and the staff were lovely, going out of their way to reassure me. Dr. Alex was very thorough and took a lot of time to talk through my long list of medications, diagnoses, and dental experiences. They were able to accomodate me within a 2-week timeframe. I need to administer an intravenous med before procedures like this, and this was also patiently accomodated (even though it impacts their schedule and timeline). In the week after my procedure I had two questions and Dr. Alex responded very quickly and reassuringly. I am very grateful to everyone at this office who walked me through this process.

If possible I would take off half a star for my initial "new patient" phone interactions (not with this office specifically, but with general representatives). I was twice given incorrect information that I would need a completely new patient appointment with x-rays, despite having a referral, x-rays and a complete dental exam just a month previously. Lisa was very helpful in clearing up this misinformation.

Note on navigating Medicaid - from everything I've been able to figure out, a procedure like this falls in a gap. The dental portion covered my sedation, but not the procedure I was being knocked out for. The "dental Medicaid" said to call the "medical Medicaid" about it. 2 different reps assured me definitively that this procedure is absolutely covered, it just needs to be "sent to Medicaid." In actuality, it is only covered if I am wheeled into an OR, an oral surgeon completes the work, and it is billed with CPT codes (dental bills as CDT). Every other oral surgeon's office I called bills like this. The exception would be Denver Health Oral Surgery, but it would have to be a very complicated procedure they need an actual OR for, which this was not. So I did have a significant out-of-pocket cost for the grafts themselves, but this would have been the case anywhere else.

From office manager Lisa Soto who deserves raise with alex podura .... lisa soto my guide angel to helping schedule urgently, have compassion and care it was far from fake rather, authentic!
Dr alex podaru mr angelic hero periodontist who was able to confirm a incompletely manufacture and made implant was installed 20 oral surgeon, denver dental, univ of co stufents, claimed Harvard dental all misdiagnosed, rest did not focus on root cause with natural compassion he also was authentic zero false narratives!
Im referring anyone to this dentist with install implants with people with mixed connective tissues!
Love his moral, values and character pf principles with patients.

Me and my older children recently came in for a cleaning. Staff was polite, professional and did a great job. They explained everything before they did it and gave good recommendations on home oral care. No pressure to add on extras which would increase cost. We all had a great experience. Dr Sam is THE BEST!

I picked 5 stars so you can read this and be prepared. First, as a whole, this location does have amazing people working behind the scenes so do not discredit that. The only thing I am going to say is: never ever ever trust the oral surgeon with dark hair and a bald spot, he is younger. This man is MEAN and he is condescending. He has anger issues. He told me “I’m a grown woman” so suck it up I guess? I have a phobia of the dentist, I paid to be put out. Nobody warned me that wasn’t happening. Mistakes happen but the way this man treated me was abhorrent. I am still considering a complaint with DORA. I had him do the bottom only. He put 6 shots alone in the front of my gums under my nose, went around the back side and did the same. It was too much to take. He would ask after every round “am I taking out this one too?” Just to be a little extra salty. I came for all of them out. I stopped him and was scheduled at another location the next day. Guess what? That periodontist only put about 5 or 6 shots in the top of my mouth. He used lidocaine on my gums to ease the pain and guess what? No needle went from my front gums into my nasal cavity nor another 3 painful shots from behind the front teeth into my nasal cavity. It’s possible the second Dr may have but the difference between what is happening on my bottom jaw and top jaw is night and day. I am healing so quick on top, the bottom is like hamburger meat. Even the areas where the mean dentist put the shots on the upper and lower are STILL hurting. Unnecessary. He used a bizarre technique to suture my gums. The thread is massive. The second Dr used something totally different and it is hardly noticeable. I can’t wear my dentures on the bottom barely. They are meant to move a bit but he sewed down near my glands and it’s just so uncomfortable and my jaw and gums are hurting so anything touching them sends me into a panic. If I had a phobia of the dentist prior, I now have a full on fear and anxiety about any dental work and his bless the next person who has to deal with me in their seat. Also, the cost difference between being put out and having nitrous is significant. Thank god for the people at the other location up north making sure I was refunded. Be careful here and make sure you are proactive and fully aware of what they are doing and how much it will cost. Especially with the oral surgeon I saw. Sorry I can’t remember his name right now, I am pretty sure I have PTSD from the trauma of it all.

The dentist seems nice-- the scheduling is not great-- if you're a new patient, it's really easy to get in at a convenient time. As a new patient you can easily book online with lots of times available. As an existing patient, you have to call to make an appointment and there are far less times available. I have tried booking 6 months in advance to get the times I wanted, but those appointments don't seem to get saved in the system. It was nearing the time that I had scheduled an appointment for and I received a reminder in the mail that I needed to book an appointment. This was odd because I had already booked an appointment 5 months prior; so I called to check and my appointment wasn't in the system. This has happened twice. I'm going to give them one more chance, but will move on if the scheduling is still not figured out.

Dear Bright Now Dental Team,
