Everyone there is super nice! Dr. Velez is always professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Joe, who cleans my teeth is very nice and does a great job!! They always make sure I am comfortable during any procedures. They always go over the charges for the day with me before beginning the visit and show me the total. My cleanings are not covered by my insurance so I pay out of pocket for them. If there is something they plan on doing ie. Giving me a fluoride treatment with the cleaning, if I’ve had it once that year, I just tell Joe I don’t want the fluoride and they take it off the bill. Simple. In general, I think patients need to be proactive when it comes to understanding what is being billed for and what you want done. Just bc they tell you, you need something or something is a part of the standard treatment does not mean you cannot refuse that aspect of the treatment ie. Fluoride. It’s standard in most practices to give patients fluoride treatments with their cleanings. It’s listed right on the bill they show and go over with you before they start the visit. If you don’t want it. Just say do and they will not do it and will not charge for it. This kind of thing goes for all providers. Find out what is covered by your insurance before you accept any treatment or procedures by any provider and look at your Explanation of benefits from your insurance company when you get it in the mail to see what was billed and why the insurance paid the amount they paid. There are codes next to everything in their statements. Dealing with insurance companies suck and is a pain. But if you have questions or think you are being billed incorrectly, it is an issue you need to bring to your insurance company and the insurance company will look into the matter. Complaining to the provider for a service that was received and subsequently billed for and your insurance company denied the claim is not the providers fault and yeah, it is then your responsibility to pay the difference. You should know what services you are getting and what is being billed and what your insurance company will cover. It is our responsibility as patients to know these things. Billing errors occur all the time from any provider. They are human. If you see an error, kindly bring it to their attention and investigate the issue. Refusing to pay your portion of a bill will be met with the provider not wanting to provide further care for you until the bill is paid in full. That happened to me once and I didn’t blame the provider. It was my fault did not paying. They have the right to refuse future treatment until they are paid for previous visits. Terry, the office manager is super helpful and always goes out of her way to make sure my insurance coverage is correct and if I need to come in urgently she gets me in right away. Someone mentioned in a previous response that the company does a credit check and if you don’t have good credit they turn you away. I don’t know if that is true or not. But I can tell you that when I started seeing them 6yrs ago, my credit sucked and no one there ever tried to turn me away. So I don’t agree with the validity of that previous statement. I’ve always hated going to the dentist but everyone at Bright Now Dental is so nice and friendly and makes sure I always have a good experience! They have really helped me out greatly with all my dental issues and I do appreciate the entire staff there!

the best experience I have had in the office has been with Angela, the receptionist. I am Hispanic and when I started going to the office she was the only person who was kind to my language. With a lot of patience with a lot of affection, she has always been very kind, respectful and very professional. At the reception she is the only one I trust because she has always been very clear with the payments I have had to make. It is the main reason why I decided to stay in that office. Thank you Angela (receptionist)
