Quick Dental Tips for Busy Moms

Carpools, play dates, errands, having a job… Busy moms know it can be a circus act trying to find time for themselves. So for Mother’s Day, here are easy, convenient ways for Mom to take care of her own teeth and health, too.
Drink plenty of water. Keep a full pitcher in the refrigerator, a glass on your nightstand, and bottles in the car. Staying hydrated has many health benefits, including helping with weight loss, flushing out toxins, clearing the mouth of bacteria, and boosting productivity.
Always be prepared. Keep travel-sized toiletries in your bag at all times, including a toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash. Other useful emergency items are hand wipes, deodorant, bandages and sunscreen. You never know when having them handy could prevent a minor disaster.
Keep healthy snacks within reach. When you’re on a time crunch, a drive-thru or vending machine might seem like best snack option. Instead, keep stashes of healthier snacks in your purse and car:
- Fresh fruits and vegetable are great choices.
- Stock up on non-perishables like nuts, pretzels, seaweed snacks, popcorn, and healthy protein bars.
- Look for snacks with 20 grams of protein, low sugar, and few ingredients.
Make sure Mom gets the care she deserves for Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 10!
